Anybody's test result come back ASHO?
Think About It
i am reading the new 2010 yearbook at the moment.
on page 13 it says www.watchtower.org gets 70,000 hits a day, and that 24 million people visited the web site last year, a 33% increase since 2007. .
simon, how does that compare with this site?
sorry if i'm late on this........... http://allhiphop.com/stories/alternatives/archive/2010/02/16/22125881.aspx.
allhiphop.com: what scares you the most?.
omarion: i am not afraid of anything.
Here's a video. I'm not very familiar with this kind of music.
this thread is prompted by the thread about a jw woman who disprupted a funeral.
i don't know the details as i can't view youtube from work, but it did get me to thinking.... over the last couple of decades, at least, i've noticed that more and more 'fringe personalities', for a lack of a better term, have infiltrated the ranks of the everyday jws.
true, jws are themselves a fringe element to normal society, but even within their own communities, there used to be a sense of normalcy, or at least seemed to be.. has the cultic message of the wt society started attracting people with different thought processes over this time period?
JW Leadership missed the window of opportunity and didn't have the sense like the Mormons to become more mainstream in order to appeal to more normal society.

Survey says......data indicates WTS may want this test administered to people before baptism. The INTJ's will be watched more closely. Results can be files away in Brooklyn.

Am I the only one that finds this hilarious?! It could almost be made into a sitcom episode.
I bet that hammer scared the shit out of grandma!
a few months ago there was a thread about a couple of elders at the mill hill bethel being disfellowshipped because they disagreed with some wt doctrine (i can't recall exactly what it was) and that several other betheliteswere under 'investigation'.
i haven't heard anything since, does anyone know anything more about this?.
borghater xx.
Welcome OnTheRocks and other Newbs. I left about the same time and life has been good since.

i never watch that show but it was on and i heard them talking about interviewing an ex-jw going against the watchtower....
700 Club huh? That exJW went from Crazy Town to Uber Crazy Town.
Man....that was funny!

sorry, i forgot to add a title to my post.
so i'm repeating the post.. in another thread (http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/social/family/189023/1/interfaith-marraiges-and-children), balsam wrote this:.
...challenging her concepts, especially challenging the words like "unbeliever", or "worldly person", you need to point out to your wife those are words used to try and put a division between jw's and other christians or people of other faiths.... i know that jehovah's witnesses are told not to befriend (much less marry) people of different religious faiths, or no religious faiths at all.
In the WTS thinking.....associating with a known pedofile in good JW standing, is better than any association with a DF/DA X-JW or "worldly person" (wow....it's been a long time since I've used that term), even is the DF/DA or worldly person has higher standards and morals.

The WTS has caused so much unnecessary harm to normal family relationships with their intolerant view of such things as funerals, weddings, shunning, etc.
